Finner Back in Sheffield & Cant Wait to Start
Steelers head coach Ryan Finnerty arrived back in Sheffield on Monday - a month ahead of schedule
"I guess I couldnt stay away" he said "we have so much to do and my time is better speant here than back at home"
One of Finner's first jobs was to go over the Steelers schedule which was confirmed by the league on Monday "with the new confrence style it was always going to be tougher than in previous years with more games against the likes of Nottingham, Cardiff, Coventry and Belfast.
"There is no such thing as an easy weekend because you have twice as many games against the big clubs. Our exhibition games against Coventry will be interesting. They have a brand new team with a lot of young guys who will want to make an impression
"I don't mind the home and away league start against Cardiff and then back to back with Coventry. We will see right away where we are. We will be right in the thick of it right from the get go. If we are going to win this thing then it will start in September and we must be ready and prepared
"In league play we dont see a team from the Northern confrence until Brahead come to Ice Sheffield on the 7th October. With most people expecting them to win that confrence we will have to make sure we take as many points off them as possible"
