Finner Pleased with Cup Victory

Ryan Finnerty said that the Steelers responded well to a slow start and showed him what they could do in the middle period of Wednesdays 6-3 victory over Hull Stingrays
"We came out very slowly and we weren't too happy about that" said Finnerty "the second period though couldn’t have been more different and the guys showed me what they had with 4-0 session. We played some nice hockey and were in control at that point.
"The third was just about doing what we had to do to see the game out and collect the 2 points in the Challenge Cup group
"It was a good opportunity to get Geoff Woolhouse the start and he played very well. The first one flew past him but after that he was solid
"We all look forward to the weekend now and the two games against Nottingham and Coventry. It was important not to pick up any injuries tonight and it looks like we came through OK"
