“I loved my time in Sheffield” said Ron Shudra “I loved everyone of my 626 games and I’m very proud of my time. But I guess as with every record they are there to be broken and I couldn’t be happier for Hewey. I know he loves the clubs as I did and do.

“It’s an incredible record and one he should be very proud of. I will be there on Wednesday and will want to be the first to shake his hand and congratulate him”
