Ashley Tait made Elite Ice Hockey League history on Saturday 22nd September.

Assisting on Jason Hewit's goal in the first period Tait equalled the EIHL scoring record of 511 points held by Dan Carlson.

Tait then broke the scoring record by beating Nottingham Panthers goalie Craig Kowalski with the game winner in the second period to move to an incredible 512 points.

Ashley Tait played 250 games for the Coventry Blaze, scoring 93 goals and 143 assists for 236 points

Joining the Steelers in 2007 Tait played two seasons (07-08 and 08-09) scoring a further 61 goals and 84 assists

After returning from a season in Italy Ashley returned for the 10-11 season and has adding 37 goals and 94 assists for the record of 512 points
