We Are Ready - We Are The Sheffield Steelers

On Saturday the Sheffield Steelers begin their 2012-13 season.

So much has been said and so much written about this new Steelers side - on Saturday you get to see them all for the first time in action against the Coventry Blaze

Head coach Ryan Finnerty said "It is so nice at long last to get these guys on the ice. It has taken over 16 months to put this group of people together. Many kind words have been said about us all but the reality is that we haven't shot a puck in anger, we haven't played a game and we haven't a point on the board

"We are playing against some other very good teams, with very good players and excellent coaches. We take nothing for granted, we will work for everything we get and see where that takes us. We know we have every chance if we as coaches and players do our job right

"We are ready, it starts on Saturday and we can't wait"
