Great Weather, Great Golf, Great Day …
A huge thanks to Hallowes Golf Club for hosting the Steelers annual golf day last Friday
47 Groups attended the event including former players and staff … a great day was had by all, some incredible golf played and many, many laughs.
With so many people participating this year, the Tee times were bought forward
Setting us off at 7.50am were Jordan, Nick, Carl and Matty – first off and first back less than 4 hours later
Once again our sponsors came to the front with both Bradwell Skips and MADRI in attendance
The MADRI product especially went down well, even so early in the morning
Representatives from both companies were present, Bradwell Skips brought their very own Steeler in Rod Sarich for their four-ball.
Out on the course, the sun was shining and fun was being had
Steeldogs players were in attendance, Tim Smith, Alex Oldale and CJ Garcia all playing.
The winners …
In first place were Simon Marcus, Richard Jones, Jamie Donohoe and Ashley Donohoe
In 2nd Place were Nath Burrows, Rob Harding, Warren Crookes and Ash Horner.
and in 3rd place were last years winner, Matt Crossland, Rod Crossland, Wes Pearce and Kevin Leversidge.
The longest drive winner went to Chris Strang who was out in Alex Oldale’s group
What a monster hit that was.
Winner of nearest the Pin was Paul Stancil with an incredible shot.
2nd prize for nearest the Pin, and the winners of 4 Beanie hats was the Bradwell Skip group of Simon Hunter, Chris Slack, Rod Sarich and David Smith
Post Round and off to the 19th for a sample of the sponsors products and chat of “What might have been” and “If only”
Thanks to the Hallowes Golf Club for their hospitality once again and delicious food
