Colton Saucerman returns to the Utilita Arena this Saturday, his first visit back to Sheffield since joining the Coventry Blaze.
Saucerman is the latest of a long line of Steelers to head to the midlands club.

Steelers Grand Slammer Marco Vallerand’s first experience of British hockey was in Coventry back in 2017-17. After leaving the Blaze for Austria (EHC Lustenau) the following season, Marco then headed to Sheffield in 2019-2020 where remained un til the end of the 2025 season.
Former Steelers captain Steve Goertzen made his way to the Sky-Dome arena after two years with the Steelers.
After winning the play off championship with the Steelers he went on to repeat that achievement with the Blaze.
Former Blaze Grand Slammers Jody Leaman and Ashley Tait both left Coventry for Sheffield
Lehman spent 4 years with the Blaze whilst it was Tait who scored the overtime, Grand Slam winning goal for the Coventry side.
Luke Ferrara left the Steelers after three seasons with the Steelers between 2015 and 2018
Ferrara then spent a further three years with the Blaze before heading to France and then to his hometown club in Peterborough

Danny Kristo left the Steelers in 2023 to join the Blaze scoring 14 times the following year
Davey Phillips played for the Blaze back in 2011-12, he followed that with spells in Belfast and Manchester before arriving in Sheffield in 2016, Davey remained a Steelers until the end of the 2023 season
Brad Cruikshank made his name for the Basingstoke Bison, Dave Matsos bought “Shanker” to the Steelers in 2009, he remained with the club for the start of the 2010 season but left to join the Blaze mid way through that season, he remained in Coventry for the 2010-11 season
Jim Jorgensen joined the Steelers in 2013 after a year with the Braehead Clan.
After spells in France and the ECHL with Witchita and Cincinatti he returned to the UK with Coventry mid way through the 14-15 season, he stayed two and a half years leaving at the end of there 2017 season.
