Born to play in Orange

Cole Shudra was always going to be a Steeler

Son of the clubs first superstar, Rocket Ron, Cole was introduced to Steelers fans only days old in the clubs documentary following the team in Omsk (see the opening of the video below)

Cole started skating at Ice Sheffield and progressed through the junior ranks

He also made an appearance alongside his Dad at such a young age

Cole, alongside Liam Kirk, were the Steelers two very first apprentices back in 2016 when they joined the club under Paul Thompson’s reign.

Coles first appearance was back in the Champions Hockey League where captain Jonathan Phillips presented him with his first Steelers shirt #27

In the years that followed Cole made 129 appearances for the Steelers, as well as being loaned out to MK Kings, before heading to Sweden in the lockdown, returning to be drafted by Coventry Blaze in the Elite series and then moving to Leeds Knights for the past two seasons in the NIHL

Game 130 in Orange for the man destined to be a Steelers will be on Saturday 9th September against Nottingham Panthers.
