Foxy with equal and pass the Steelers all time coaching record this weekend
Steelers have been blessed with some wonderful coaches over the years.
This weekend head coach Aaron Fox will equal and then pass the record set by Alex Dampier of 337 games behind the Steelers bench.
Fox is presently sat on 336 ahead of the weekend’s games, his record boasts 234 wins, 2 draws, 99 losses and 1 game not completed.
Dampier coached the Steelers from January 1993 until 28th March 1998 and was responsible for the 1996 Grand Slam, our first of three.

“Alex Dampier is talked about in high esteem by those who remember his time here and it is a great honour to pass his milestone” said Aaron Fox
“It seems like yesterday that I flew over to Sheffield, met Tony and his team and then watched the game from his Suite for the first time, Glasgow I think it was. Sheffield is now home for my family and I and you have all helped me settle in and feel right at home over the years”.
