The signing of Colton Saucerman completed the club’s defensive core for the 2023-24 season in the Elite League.

Saucerman arrives for his first spell in the UK after playing for Allen Americans in the ECHL last season where he amassed 38 points in 63 games

Prior to that Saucerman applied his trade in HC Innsbruck (20-21) and HC Kosice (21-22)

The 5’9, 31 year old blueliner turned professional in 2016 when he signed for South Carolina Stingrays, he went on to play four straight years in North America playing 295 AHL and East Coast League games before heading to Europe.

Head coach Aaron Fox said “Colton might be our last defenseman to announce but this deal has been done a while, he is an important cog in our wheel and I’m delighted for him to arrive in Sheffield. It’s not the first time we have tried to sign Colton

“He is super competitive, I expect him to contribute on the scoreboard but also I love the way he loves to defend. He is physical and loves the battle”
