Dominic Cormier returns to Sheffield for his fourth season with the Steelers, entering the second year of the two-year contract he signed in the summer of 2025.

Since arriving midway through the club’s historic Grand Slam campaign in 2023–24, Cormier has been an outstanding addition on the blue line. He made an immediate impact and has continued to excel, earning Elite League All-Star recognition among defencemen for his performances.

Remarkably consistent, Cormier has not missed a single game since joining the club, featuring in 204 fixtures across the Elite League, Challenge Cup, Playoffs, and Champions Hockey League. From defence, he has contributed an impressive 31 goals and 134 points, underlining his importance as both a playmaker and offensive threat.

Prior to his move to Sheffield, Cormier played for Norwegian side Stjernen Hockey. He also gained valuable European experience in Slovakia with HC Banská Bystrica, following a stint in North America with the Reading Royals in the ECHL.

Head Coach Aaron Fox spoke highly of the Canadian defenceman:

Cormier is equally enthusiastic about continuing his journey in Sheffield:
