Ryan Tait joins the Steelers after three years with the Guildford Flames, during which he scored nearly a point per game in over 200 appearances.

Prior to heading to the UK, Ryan played three seasons in France—two with Cholet (in the French second division) and one with Cergy-Pontoise, where he was a roommate of Brien Diffley.

Before moving to France, Ryan played NCAA hockey with Providence College.

Head Coach Aaron Fox said:
“Ryan is a guy I’ve really liked since he came to the UK and he’s always had our attention when game-planning against Guildford.

“He’s a guy that can absolutely fly. I think, with how we play, he’ll really excel in our structure and gives us some speed down the right side. He can play in all situations, and we’ve heard he’s a great team-first guy as well.

“I think with him and Mikko, that probably gives us two of the three fastest players in the league. He should be an exciting player for us.”
