Sean Collins joins the Sheffield Steelers for the 2026-27 Elite League season, bringing a wealth of experience, leadership and versatility gained during a distinguished professional career spanning more than 16 years.

The Canadian centre arrives in Sheffield having played over 900 professional games across some of the world’s top leagues, including the NHL, AHL, KHL, Liiga, DEL and IceHL. His extensive experience at the highest levels of the game has earned him a reputation as a dependable two-way forward and respected leader both on and off the ice.

A big, competitive centreman, Collins is known for his strong all-round game, excelling in all three zones and in every situation. He combines size, skating ability and hockey intelligence with a high level of professionalism that has allowed him to enjoy a long and successful career.

Face-offs are a particular strength of Collins’ game, while his ability to contribute on both the power play and penalty kill makes him a valuable asset throughout the lineup. Whether matched against opposition top lines or called upon in key moments, he has consistently proven himself as a player coaches can rely upon.
