Foxy Delighted at Tremblay Move to the Steelers
After a season split between the Steeldogs and Steelers, head coach Aaron Fox is delighted to confirm that Sam Tremblay has signed a deal that keeps him at the Steelers next season.
Playing 29 CHL, League and Play Off games, Tremblay netted 9 times with 20 points last year in Orange
Tremblay had initially agreed a deal to return to the Steeldogs in order for him to continue his school work, however after speaking with the club it has been agreed that Sam will now remain full time with the Steelers.

Head Coach Aaron Fox said “Trembs is a tone setter and just a guy who plays hard every night and leads by example with how consistently good and responsible his game is.
“He plays a bit of an old school game of finishing hits and being hard to play against. Sam is a relentless 200 foot player that good teams need and we were definitely a better hockey team when he was in the lineup for us last year.
“Sam can play all 3 forward positions and really chipped in offensively as well. I’m really happy that he’s on board for a full season with us next year”.

Speaking from his summer home in the United States Sam said “I initially moved to the Steeldogs in order that I could focus a lot more on my studies, I felt the full time hockey player couldn’t manage both and certainly in the early days of the CHL and studies it was a strain.
“However, after Christmas I took a surprise call saying come up and play with the Steelers, I thought that I have the experience now to manage things better and I was pleasantly surprised how it all worked out. I could to the hockey training, work out in the gym and contribute at the Elite level.
“I was fully on board with going back to the Steeldogs next season but when speaking with Foxy I could tell by his expression that he was leaving the door open, we finally got around to talking openly about it and decided that we could both make this work.
“I know the Steeldogs are being well looked after, they have my support and I know that the players coming into the side this summer will do nothing but help the team.
“I think Foxy knowing my situation helps me, I know he supports all of his players in this way. I know this is a huge commitment and a big challenge but one I intend to relish. I’m looking forward to the season starting already”
