Doiwd and leavens for the Steelers – Greenfield Outstanding
The Steelers are back too wining ways with a 3-2 road win against rivals Nottingham.
A sold out barn and a lot like the old Steelers tonight with some outstanding performances and great team play.
A scoreless opening period was followed by 20 minutes of domination from the Steelers and 3 goals without reply.
Panthers hit two goals early in the final period but the Steelers kept their heads and came out victors in the end.

Matt Greenfield made the first save of the fixture, but Steelers were on it from the get go as Cole Shudra set up Mark Simpson but Simmer just failed to deflect the pass/shot from Cole.
Moments later Maxim Golod went close after an excellent pass from Marco Vallerand, Bednard with the pad save.
Panthers pressure but Steelers breaking with speed, Tansey the extra man and the drop pass finds him free, this time Bednard kicks the puck away
Daniel Ciampini off the post, a scramble follow up and Simpson goes close with Bednard getting over to make the second save.

Right from the start the Steelers were on the front foot, they have dominated the middle period.
25.28 Dowdy opens the scoring as he picks up on good work from Golod and Vallerand – we lead 1-0
32.27 and Dowdy again, this time a tip off a Cormier shot from the point – we lead 2-0

Nottingham on the front foot early with Greenfield making the first of several key saves.

Moments later, it was 2-3, a deflection right in front of Matt Greenfield by Ollie Betteridge
It could have been tied two shifts later when Greenfield made the save on Logan Neilson
It went end to end with chances both ways, Bednard and Greenfield leading their teams.
Bednard was pulled in the final minute but the Steelers held firm to take the points
