After coming from behind to lead 2-1 after 20 minutes, Steelers took control in the middle session with a brace from Kevin Tansey and a blast from Daniel Ciampini to lead 5-2 after 40 minutes
Tansey completed his hat-trick, Golod scored his 2nd and Nathan Ripley his first as a Steeler to bring home both points.
First Period …
Manchester started the stronger of the two sides, forcing the game and putting De-Filippo under pressure.
In the first few minutes De-Filippo stood strong with the Steelers scambling

Second Period
Great start to the middle period for the Steelers, Watling with the face-off win and Tansey snipes to extend the lead to 3-1
29.44 and Daniel Ciampini skates down the left wing and unleashed an incredible shot that beats Weninger for 4-1
Weninger is then pulled with Oldie replacing him between the pipes.

De-Filippo outstanding and shuts the door. Steelers kill.

44.48 and Tansey scores his 2nd of the night, a long range wrist shot to extend the lead back to 3, and 5-2 in the Steelers favour.
Storm throw everything at De-Filippo and he makes back to back saves to keep the score 2-5 at the end of the second period.
Third Period …
Storm started the third period on the power-play, Steelers had been awarded a minor for delaying the game at the final hooter in the second period.
Weninger was also back in goal, replacing Oldale between the pipes.
53 Seconds in and Storm had one back, Martin on the power-play.
Good chance for Vallerand as he cut to the middle and fired his shot, Weninger with the save.
44.38 and a Rockets from Kevin Tansey to make it 6-3, it was the start of a period of domination.
55.12 and Nathan Ripley got on the end of a Tansey / Vallerand move to secure his first Steelers goal, it was 7-3
