Brilliant Steelers Convincing in Coventry
Steelers have one foot in the Challenge Cup final after an incredible 6-0 road win at the Sky Dome Arena, Coventry.
There were five different scores for the Steelers, Scott Allen (2) and single strikes for Messrs: Simpson, Dowd, Ciampini and Watling.
The ground work for the victory was done in the first period as the Steelers put in as a complete 20 minutes of hockey as you could wish to see, taking the session 5-0
Matt Greenfield was back between the pipes for this one, as Steelers iced the same line up as on Sunday, with the addition of Finlay Ulrick.
First Period.
00.12 and Steelers on the board with Mark Simpson scoring assisted Daniel Ciampini
02.06 The captain makes it 2-0 With Nevalainen and Balmas assisting

12.42 and we score a 4th with the roles reversed and Scott Allen scoring, assisted Ciampini
16.17 and a great assist from Mikko Juusola feeding Patrick Watling for 5-0
Second Period.
Chances either side at the opening of the period, Dowdy went close as he Zach Vinnell and Cole Shudra had the Blaze pinned into their own end.

29.51 and Scott Allen scores his second with an assist to maker it 6-0
30.59 and the first penalty of the night as Patrick Watling takes 2 for a face off violation
Steelers kill the penalty and the remainder of the period
Third Period.
Former Steeler Danny Kristo was first to take aim at Matt Greenfield in the final session with Greener of course making the save.
50.31 and Dowdy to the penalty box for a delay of game minor after shooting the puck over the glass.
Blaze gave it everything and Roth had a chance at the back door that somehow Greenfield got across to.
52.23 and Blaze scored, or so they thought, the officials waved off the goal and gave Coventry’s Johnny Curran a 2 minute penalty for goalie interference.
55.24 and a little bit of afters as the Blaze went after Mikko Juusola, Kobe Roth took the minor and Steelers back on the PP
