Re-Live the Steelers & Steeldogs Shirt Launch
The 2025-26 Shirt Launch was another incredible event inside the Utilita Arena – we hope you enjoyed it and that it encouraged you that the season ahead is one you will enjoy as much as ever.
Over 4,000 Steelers and Steeldogs fans made their way to the arena for the launch of the shirts and of curse to meet players from both sides.
Hundreds of you had already pre-ordered your shirts and they were there, waiting for you upon arrival.
Many more bought their shirts of the night with hundreds of orders also taken.
It was time to introduce the Sheffield Steeldogs … and also some breaking news a great surprise for the Steeldogs fans.
The 2025-26 Steeldogs received a standing ovation
Several of the Steeldogs were then interviewed on stage with the broadcast being shown on the big screen above
This included the new head coach Slava Koulikov, and he had some big news to confirm as well as we announced that former Steeler Davey Phillips was joining the Steeldogs for the season ahead – what a reception that news had from all in attendance.
Time for some music and we had a new band performing this year.

It was then time for the main event … the introduction of your 2025-26 TriggerHub Steelers
Of course, #1 Matt Greenfield led the way to a standing ovation as he was announced out onto the stage
One by one the remaining members of the side came out and told us of their hopes and aspirations for the season ahead and we loved it.
The biggest cheers of the night … well Mikko’s was loud but of course, the captain Robert Dowd raised the roof and a special mention to Logan Neilson who was warmly welcomed into the Steelers family and was terrific on stage.
Then it was time for the whole team to come on stage and some prizes handed out 50-50 and raffle winners
Lisa won our online team signed shirt raffle, Noddy and his family the SOYB held on the night and Mia the 50-50 – what a night they all had
Then it was your chance to take a team photo before the boys head upstairs for autographs.
We hope you got some good shots.
