A Night for Champions ….
The Sheffield Steelers are Elite League Champions, doesn’t that sound great to hear.
What a night it was at the Arena, just some 10 days after winning the Challenge Cup, Steelers completed the double in fantastic style with a 7-3 home win over Guildford Flames.
Over 9,200 fans were inside the building, expecting a night to remember and they weren’t let down one little bit.
The Game …
Patrick Watling got us going with an incredible first goal
Steelers lead 1-0
It was soon 2-0
Scott Allen tipped home to double our advantage
and before we knew it, it was 3-0
The man for the big moment, Marco Vallerand had up off our seats.

The Flames hit back at the start of the middle period with 2 quick goals

Back at it again …
Kevin Tansey for 4-2 and normal service was resumed
Flames made it 4-3 before the Steelers hit three without reply to win the game 7-3

What started as a drink at a summer wedding – ended in a championship
