The Steelers are right on schedule for the start of the new season and our first game on Saturday 31st August against Cardiff Devils at the Utilita Arena.
The team will arrive in Sheffield mid August with Induction day and training camp commencing on the 22nd.
Steelers will play 3 exhibition games pre season, home and away against Cardiff on the 31st August and 1st September) Tickets “HERE” and then on Saturday 6th September in Manchester against the Storm.
The night before the game in Manchester, Friday 5th September is the clubs huge shirt launch and meet the players night at the area. This is a free to enter event where fans will get a chance to meet all of the new and returning Steelers stars for a photo and an autograph.
Head Coach Aaron Fox confirmed his team is signed saying “I know my team and all the guys are signed, we still have one or two that haven’t been announced but I’m sure they will follow shortly once the paperwork has all been agreed.
“We have had a busy summer and have worked hard to bring the in the best team we can, i think looking at the rosters all of the other teams have done the same and improved and we have one hell of a competitive season ahead of us to look forward to”
Captain Robert Dowd said “We’ve all been back in the gym and working hard for weeks now, but once the calendar turns to August you know it is almost time.
“Over the summer we have had some big changes, friends leave our room which is sad but part of the sport. On the flip side, new friends and team mates arrive and we all share the goal of an incredible season
“We can’t wait to open on the 30th against Cardiff and look forward to seeing you all then”
