One in and one out on deadline day Monday
One in and one out for the Steelers on deadline day Monday.
Steelers have acquired the services of Glasgow Clan defensemen Reece Kelly
The 23 year old played a year and a half in Glasgow after joining them in the summer of 2024 following a two-way spell with Cardiff and Bristol.
Goalie Jere Huhtamma has left the Steelers after coming to us earlier in the year on injury cover.
Huhtamma played four games for the club whilst Matt Greenfield and Marco De-Filippo were sidelined.
Head coach Aaron Fox said “When we heard Reece was possibly going to be available we felt like it was definitely worth bringing him in.

“He’s a big body, young, and physical defensemen who moves well for his size. We think there’s a lot of upside and are excited about his potential. When you look at that next crop of young Brit D, he’s one of those guys that stands out with the potential to make that jump.
“We have heard great things about him as a guy and in the room so we are looking forward to adding him to our group. This will also add some competition within our group which is important.

“With the roster addition of Sam Tremblay earlier in the week the club needed to remove a player from the active roster.
“We appreciate Jere coming in on short notice at a difficult time for our group with the injuries to Greener and Marco.
“We wish him well for the future”.
