Foxy Excited About Possible New Arrivals.

Sheffield Steelers Head Coach Aaron Fox has revealed that the club could be in a position to announce further additions to the 2026-27 roster in the coming days.

With preparations for the new season continuing at pace, Fox says discussions are progressing positively as he looks to strengthen the squad ahead of the new campaign.

“Things are progressing well on a couple of fronts and we hope to be able to bring some news shortly,” said Fox.

“We haven’t shut the door on the possibility of bringing back more returnees, but I expect the next players we announce to be new arrivals who are excited about coming to Sheffield and helping us win.”

The Steelers have already added fresh faces to the roster this summer, with forwards Olivier Archambault and Lucas Brine joining the club, while Brandon Whistle has returned to Sheffield and talented youngsters Ivan Björkly-Nordström and Liam Steele have earned a full-time places on the Elite League roster.

A strong core from last season has also been retained, with Matt Greenfield, Dominic Cormier, Mitchell Balmas, Robert Dowd, Evan Jasper and Mikko Juusola all confirmed for the 2026-27 campaign.

With more announcements on the horizon, excitement continues to build as Aaron Fox shapes his roster for another season of Elite League competition.
