When visiting Sheffield for a Steelers game and wanting to stay over in the City, the Steelers recommend the recently refurbished Sandman Signature Quays Hotel
For the second season, Sandman are the Steelers hotel partners, but with this incredible facility, it is far more than just a hotel.
Yes it has incredible rooms, the best reception and bar staff, but it is also an incredible restaurant with the best food in town and a bar packed with every drink you could think of.
So to test the hotel out we sent captain Robert Dowd and his new line mate Evan Jasper down to the Quays to see what all the fuss was about, they weren’t disappointed
Firstly parking, it is free to all residents and located right outside the front door of the hotel.
When walking into the welcoming reception hall you are greeted by friendly staff, the hotel however can’t guarantee that these two will be working every time you arrive.
There is ample space to sit and relax, wait for guests or do some work, the wi-fi is excellent, we know we use it most weeks #SteelersGurantee
That seating, lounge, waiting area also provides access to the Hotel’s eating and drinking area’s … strange that the boys found these area’s all on their own …
The Tavern on the Quays
What a bar this is, and it is open to hotel guests and the public
With knowable staff serving you pretty much any drink you can think of, well most of them knowledgeable …
Time to eat … Breakfast, Lunch or an Evening Meal
Again, the hotel can’t guarantee that these two will be here to show you to your seats and serve you, but that might not be a bad thing.
We loved it all, and the boys did eat, first up was breakfast
A huge selection of serve your self buffet service and the boys didn’t hold back

After touring the hotel the boys were ready for lunch
What a selection to choose from, Dowdy went with the Burger whilst Evan chose the Detroit Pizza
We can’t tell you how good the food and service was, sure the boys turned a few heads as they tucked into their second meal within an hour …
When you go to eat, tell them Dowdy and Evan sent you … that Detroit Pizza was off the charts.

The Steelers staff, guests and family of the players have all stopped inside this incredible hotel, all the rooms have recently refurbished and we suggest you won’t have stayed in nice accommodation.
The Rooms are just fantastic
Big enough for a couple of strapping hockey players, then big enough for you with luxury fittings, quality furniture and super fast wi-fi
Then there is the beds, the size of them, against big enough for two (or three) Jack from the Hotel just had to join us …
