Last summer Kevin Tansey inked a two-year deal with the Steelers, returning in 2025-26 for what will be his third season in Orange.

The 6’4 defenceman joined the Steelers from the Herning Blue Fox’s ahead of the 2023-24 season.

Prior to that Kevin played single seasons in Brno (Czechia), Innsbruck (Austria) and Znojmo (Czechia – IceLeague).

Back home, Kevin started his career with Clarkson University before turning professional in 2016 with Binghampton in the AHL, he would go on to have spells with Chicago, Stockton and Grand Rapids in the American League whilst also playing for Missouri and Toledo in the ECHL 

In 2025-26 Kevin will also complete his studies at Sheffield Hallam University.
