Juusola and Seitz with penalty shot goals and McAdam with the saves – Steelers win
Steelers rounded off their first week together with back to back victories against Cardiff Devils.
Following Saturday’s overtime win at the arena the Steelers were victorious on Sunday in a shoot out with penalty shot goals from Mikko Juusola and Nick Seitz
Eamon McAdam made the saves that ensured victory for the Steelers
1st Period.
Eamon McAdam made his first Steelers start in Cardiff on Sunday night, the clubs 2nd pre-season exhibition game and just 24 hours after the clubs 4-3 OT win against the Devils on Saturday.
A great start for the Steelers with the Gentile, Balmas Harper line combining for Stephen Harpers first goal of the season after just 01.31 as he finished off a move that started with Dominic Cormiers shot and also an assist for Mitchell Balmas (0-1)

Early power play for the Devils at 05.11 when Sheffield took a 2 minute bench minor penalty for too many men on the ice – Stephen Harper served the penalty.
Eamon McAdam came up with a couple of good saves and the Steelers killed the Devils advantage
Steelers broke 2 on 1 with Gentile and Balmas combining nicely as the Ice Man double the Steelers lead to 2-0 at 09.53 with McAdam picking up the 2nd assist.
It was all too much for Riely Brandt, he picked a fight with Cole Shudra and Cole more the held his own taking the decision on points. Both players to the box for 5 minute fighting penalties at 11.32



Steelers on the power play 12.22 when Brandon Estes sat out 2 minutes, the Steelers PP had several good looks with Logan Neilson going close. Devikls killed and we returned to five on five.
Devils on the board at 15.46 as the Steelers started to tire and Cardiff came back into the game, there was nothing Eamon McAdam could do as Ben Davies fired home (Brett Perlini) to make the score Cardiff Devils 1-2 Steelers after 20 minutes
2nd Period
A scrappy period as both teams struggled to have controlled possession and create serious chances.
When called upon Eamon McAdam was on hand to make the saves.

38.44 and Colke Shudra was called 2 for tripping, the officials then gathered and called over Sam Tremblay who then received a double minor for high sticking
The 5 on 3 Devils power play didn’t last too long, just 37 seconds before McDonald was called for holding
Cardiff will take a 4-3 power-play into the final period and if no other penalties are called with have an additional 5-4 PP to follow.
End of the 2nd period: Devils 1-2 Steelers
3rd Period
Devils took advantage of the early power-play when Estes combined with Fournier and Martin to tie the game 2-2
49.09 and 5 minute penalties to both Tremblay and Lacroix as they exchanged blows.
Overtime
Chances either end though Cardiff dominated the play in the 5 min ute period they couldn’t find that one chance to get the puck past McAdam
Shoot Out
Goals from Mikko Juusola and Nick Seitz plus great saves from Eamon McAdam secured the 2-1 shoot out win and a 3-2 victory on the road in Cardiff
