Foxy Has His Man Signed
The Sheffield Steelers can confirm that Head Coach Aaron Fox has completed the signing of a new import forward, a player he believes will complete his forward line for the 2026-27 season.
Whilst the final paperwork is being completed, the club can reveal that the official announcement will be made on Saturday morning.
Fox has already assembled an exciting group of forwards for the new campaign, with new imports Leevi Teissala, Sean Collins, Adam Rockwood and Olivier Archambault joining the Steelers this summer. They are joined by the returning Brandon Whistle and exciting young forward Ivan Bjorkley-Nordstrom, who has earned a full-time place with the club after his impressive development.
With eleven forwards already confirmed, Saturday’s announcement is expected to complete the Steelers’ import forward group ahead of the new season.
Speaking on Thursday morning, Aaron Fox said:
“We will certainly look a little different up front this season. I’m really happy with the group we’ve put together and the balance we’ve got throughout the line-up.
“There’s just a little bit of paperwork to complete before we can officially announce our latest signing, but we’re looking forward to introducing him on Saturday. I trust the announcement will be well received — I certainly think it will be.”
