Those that have worn both jersey’s include the Steelers captain Robert Dowd.
Brandon Whistle’s summer move to the Belfast Giants caused us all some upset, we miss you Brandon.
Brandon however isn’t the first, or probably the last player to wear the shirt of both the Steelers and the Giants

For one, his brother Jackson did it in the 2018-19 season when he played 52 games in Orange.
Our captain Robert Dowd left the Steelers for the Giants back in 2011-12 suiting up 48 times for the Giants, winning a championship and the best British player of the year award.

Sam Jones was a member of the 2024 Grand Slam side, he played 168 games for the Steelers before heading to Europe, then Guildford and now the Giants.

Paul Sample was the first to wear both shirts, playing for the Giants in the 03-04 season before heading to Sheffield for a two year spell where he played 93 games.

Who could forget Davey Phillips, he played 262 EIHL games for the Giants and 252 for the Steelers.

Mark Dutiaume had spells with both the Steelers and the Giants, ending his career in Belfast in 2006

Tony Hand was a Grand Slammer with the Steelers in 1996, he later joined the Giants as player coach (05-06)

Steelers Goalie Ryan “It’s good to be” Bach joined the Steelers for the 01-02 season, the following year he led the Giants to success

Paul Kruse joined Bach both years, the former NHL’er had 28 points with the Steelers and 18 the following year with the Giants

Colin Shields played only 22 games for the Steelers in the 12-13 season, though for the majority of his career who wore the Giants uniform

Shane Johnson, Mike Forney and of course Brendon Connolly wrap up the list of two wayers between the two most successful clubs in the Elite Leagues history
