Warburton Joins Deeside Dragons for 2026-27 Season

Warburton Signs Two-Way Deal with Steelers and Dragons

The Sheffield Steelers are delighted to confirm that local goalie Curtis Warburton has signed a two-way agreement with the club and the Deeside Dragons for the 2026-27 season.

The arrangement will see Curtis continue his development within the Steelers organisation while gaining valuable game time with the NIHL 1 (North) side.

Throughout the season, Curtis will continue to train with both the Sheffield Steelers and Sheffield Steeldogs, ensuring he remains fully integrated within the organisation and continues his development alongside Aaron Fox’s and Slava Koulikov’s squads.

When not required by the Steelers, Curtis will ice for the Deeside Dragons, where he will play regular competitive hockey and continue his progression. Should the Steelers need him during the season, Curtis will be available to return to Sheffield.

The two-way agreement is designed to give the talented youngster the best possible opportunity to develop through consistent ice time while remaining part of the Steelers programme.

Everyone at the Sheffield Steelers wishes Curtis every success with the Dragons and looks forward to watching his continued development throughout the 2026-27 campaign.
