Steelers Arrive in Växjö For Game 2 of the Champions Hockey League
The Steelers have been on the move for most of the day (Friday) travelling from their base in Bern, Switzerland to their new home in Växjö, just a ten minute walk away from the arena they will play the Lakers in tomorrow
It was a 6am start for equipment manager Andy Akers as he packed the bags and loaded them on the team bus in Fribourg.
The Steelers side were waiting for collection some two hours later at the team hotel and they embarked on the 90 minute coach ride back to Zurich
There was 45 minute delay in their flight to Gothenburg and this was followed by a two and a half hour bus journey to Växjö, arriving around 6.30pm local time
The boys unpacked their equipment in the fantastic hockey arena before taking a look at the ice, the Colosseum they will be playing in tomorrow afternoon.
Then it was to the team hotel for dinner and hockey meetings with the coaching staff before heading to bed ahead of the huge CHL game tomorrow afternoon
