Balmas with a Brace The latest chapter in the Steelers-Panthers rivalry delivered once again as Sheffield came from behind to beat Nottingham 3-2 in overtime at the Utilita Arena. A goalless opening period was followed by a fast start to the second, with Mitchell Balmas putting the Steelers ahead after just 16 seconds. Nottingham responded through Tim Doherty and Joe Hazeldine to take a 2-1 lead, but Balmas struck again in the third period to tie the game and record his 250th EIHL point. The game eventually headed to overtime, where Ryan Tait fired home the winner to secure the extra point and send the home crowd into celebration.
