Head coach Aaron Fox has confirmed that progress is being made ahead of the start of the 2023-24 Elite League season
“I’m very comfortable where we are right now” said the Steelers boss “we have a few players signed and we will be announcing some of those next week I believe
“On top of that we are progressing well with some other new names, players I have been tracking for some time
“We are still nine weeks away from our first game against Nottingham, the later start has taken some of the urgency away, it’s right that we sign the right guys not the speed that we sign them. I think we are still ahead of schedule and I very much like the look of what we are building”
“The players right now are undergoing their visa applications and Shaun is on top of that, Mike is in touch with all the guys with summer work out programmes, those in Sheffield are working face to face with him every morning
“I think there is a general excitement throughout the club ahead of the new season and everyone is working hard”
